»¨½·Ö±²¥ recently appointed James (Jim) Furr, Professional Geologist (PG), Project Management Professional (PMP), to Chief Information Officer (CIO). He will remain President of »¨½·Ö±²¥ Services, LLC, a »¨½·Ö±²¥ subsidiary, in addition to his new CIO responsibilities. The Information Technology (IT) organization has been restructured to support growth and expansion, operational needs, cyber and security, enterprise development, and comprehensive data management.
Mr. Furr’s position as President of »¨½·Ö±²¥, Inc. will be transitioned to Jeff Scott, President of »¨½·Ö±²¥-Portage, pending approvals from the Board.
Mr. Furr has been with »¨½·Ö±²¥ for 12 years and the President of »¨½·Ö±²¥, Inc. and »¨½·Ö±²¥ Services, LLC for the past 6 years. His responsibilities have included operations of the business units across the continental US and Alaska. Prior to this assignment, he was Vice President and Operations Manager for »¨½·Ö±²¥â€™s Eastern Region including the Greenville, Atlanta, and Oak Ridge offices. Mr. Furr currently serves as Program Manager for »¨½·Ö±²¥ contracts with the DOE, USAF and several USACE Districts, and for industrial and commercial clients in the Southeast. Mr. Furr is a Licensed PG with 35 years of experience in project management and operations, geological and hydrogeological site investigations, and site remediation and closures.
