Supporting mine reclamation project featured in Rapid City Journal publication
Idaho Falls, Idaho – ֱ is pleased to announce that ֱ Construction Services, LLC was featured in a Rapid City Journal article entitled, “Righting a wrong at Riley Pass: After 51 years, mine cleanup finally begins.” The article highlights the ֱ Construction Services’ contract with the U.S. Forest Services Northern Region, for the Riley Pass bluffs removal action project. The Riley Pass Uranium Mine Site is located in the North Cave Hills land unit of the Custer Gallatin National Forest in Harding County, South Dakota.
Since June 2016, ֱ Construction Services has been in the field performing a $2.27 million contract at Riley Pass, which is scheduled to be completed in September 2016. As stated in the article, there is much additional work to be completed in the future; several multimillion-dollar contracts will be awarded to, “undo damage done five decades ago by uranium mining.”
