Last month, on June 20, The One Hanford Team held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commission the Hanford Network Operation Center (NOC). The NOC was recently relocated from the client’s space to the »¨½·Ö±²¥ office in Richland, WA.
The NOC operates 24/7/365 and monitors all activity on the Hanford network, including:
- 600 buildings
- 12,000 phone lines
- 8,500 users
- 1,250 Servers
- +20,000 endpoints
- 200 enclave and isolated industrial control system (ICS) Networks
Moving the NOC to »¨½·Ö±²¥â€™s office is a huge vote of confidence from our customer and a boost in morale for the Network Operators. The move locates the NOC adjacent to the Hanford Security Operations Center (SOC), also located in the »¨½·Ö±²¥ Richland office. The co-location of these two critical centers enhances each team’s interaction and collaboration in operating and protecting the Hanford IT enterprise.
Following the ribbon cutting, the »¨½·Ö±²¥ team gathered for a summer safety celebration, which included the grand opening of the NOC and the celebration of 2 million hours worked. »¨½·Ö±²¥ is a wholly owned subsidiary of , an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC). The entire team was thrilled to have CIRI President Sarah Lukin join the celebration.
